New Belgium Brewing has announced the 2012 Tour de Fat schedule visiting 15 cities across the country including Atlanta and Washington, DC that are new to the list this year!
Tour de Fat is a celebration of bicycles and people who are Eco-friendly motivated. Festivities will include a costumed bicycle parade, local food, an unusual bike contest, including New Belgium beer. The free event is expected to exceed $2 million! Stages are alternatively powered and constructed from recycled materials, trucks and transport use bio-fuel sourced from recycled waste oil. Proceeds directly benefit trail maintenance, safety education, and lobbying for better bicycle communities. This is one of many fundraising events gotügo will contribute to in the year 2012.
