Now through October, Truckeroo will be rolling through Washington, D.C. during this annual food truck extravaganza. Featuring at least 20 food trucks originating from D.C. including TaKorean, Curbside Cupcakes, BBQ Bus, and Sinplicity Ice Cream, this is one of the tastiest fall festivals to hit D.C.
In addition to delicious offerings, Truckeroo offers several family friendly games, live music and a full bar on location. Admission is free for all, but you will have to purchase any foods or drinks at Truckeroo, located on M Street SE and Half Street.
The 29th Annual Grottoes Bluegrass Festival will take place September 4 to 6 at Grand Caverns Park. Brought to you by the Shenandoah Valley Shriners, the proceeds for this fall festival go to support the Shriner’s Children’s Hospitals. Bring your dancing shoes as The Travelers, Jerry Butler & the RJ’s, Lonesome Highway, and Little Mountain boys will be performing. The Grottoes Bluegrass Festival will be held rain or shine.
Now through September, the Our Local Bounty’s Farmers Market will be held every Saturday morning from 8 am to noon. Come out to congregate with your Croom community members while you shop for seasonal produce. In addition to locally grown fruits and vegetables, artists and crafters sell their wares at this festive event. The festival is located on St. Thomas Church Road at St. Thomas’ Parish. Don’t forget to look for the freshly baked bread that is sold each Saturday.
